MIND LOUNGE & PEACEFUL PATIO - CLICK HERE TO VOLUNTEER!

The Mind Lounge & Peaceful Patio, started by 1st grade teacher Mrs. Barney-Nicholson, was created to make a space for students to practice mindfulness. Mindfulness is being present in the moment and has been linked to improving academic and social emotional learning. Students visit this space during lunch recess and participate mindful activities including coloring, reading, stacking blocks, deep breathing exercises, puzzles, and more. MOBILE MIND LOUNGE

The Mobile Mind Lounge is set-up on the playground area and brings a variety of mindfulness activities to the students.

SEL WEEK
